Position Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for casual experienced Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team.  Our practice team consists of 4 doctors, 2 nurses and administration staff. Additionally we have pathology onsite. We are a family oriented general practice that is private billing and is accredited with GPA. Our team prides itself on our professionalism, friendliness and innovation. 

Our Practice is located at outside Warabrook shopping centre. 

We are open weekdays 830am to 530pm & Saturday 830am-1130am

We are seeking an experienced practice nurse for a casual position for our busy clinic.   We are leaders in diabetes care. If you want to work in a dynamic team environment then we want you!  We offer continual training and upskilling.  Preparing chronic disease management plans and educating the patients re their chronic disease. Doing Home health assessments, and also assisting the other nurses in the practice with immunisations, dressings, spirometry and ECGs etc. Our clinic is fully computerised with Best practice software. 

Essentials Description

·        Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse current APHRA registration

·        Relevant care experience in General Practice

·        Demonstrated interpersonal and written communication skills.  

·        An understanding and knowledge of WHS issues

·        Immunisation & ear syringing Certificate

·        Diabetic and Care Plan experience.

·        Experienced with Best practice highly desirable 

·        Excellent organisational and time management skills

Desirables Description

Desirable but not essential - Experience in General Practice . Experience with chronic disease management and home health assessments, immunisations, dressings,

Description of Facilities

Taking care of Treatment room, ordering vaccine and stock, general nursing and triaging, ECG, spirometry, ear syringing, GPMP management plans, Health assessments, Diabetes cycle of care and Asthma Cycle of care, wound care and recalls / reminders of patients.

Good communication skills, team skills, can do attitude, help with the accreditation process and ability to work without supervision highly essential. Self-initiative with a caring nature. Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
